The Naselesele Village Primary School kicks off the Drug Awareness Week with this poster-board, which will be posted near the road in Matei-Naselesele area.

WASTE of breath -- tobacco, cigarettes, suki, marijuana... every puff kills (sooner or later, cancer wins -- you lose).

WASTE of money -- alcohol, beer, wine, yaqona... every sip is poison that burns a hole in your liver and in your wallet.

WASTE of life -- can your loved ones truly rest in peace, knowing your life was wasted?

And so, dear brothers and sisters, i plead with you to give your bodies to GOD because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. (Romans 12:1)

Drug Awareness Week -- DRUGS 'n' SLUGS

Drug Awareness Week kicks off this week, June 20-24. This anti-drug banner will be posted around Matei area.

Home brew is now against Naselesele Village laws. Anyone caught making home brew will be prosecuted by the Village elders. (The penalty is severe -- the perpetrator is kicked out of the village!)

When i was in high school, we watched a video of a drunk's brain being cut up in pieces, showing how alcohol affects the brain -- that alcohol kills brain cells.

The Naselesele Village kids are urged to "Think pure, act smart -- don't even start!"

Drug Awareness Week is June 20-24. The Naselesele Village Primary School is pro-active in fighting the spread of illegal (and/or illicit) drugs in the schools. This banner also reflects another aspect of this anti-abuse campaign -- the stopping of abusive adult behaviors towards children of all ages.

Please take note -- children are people in little bodies and deserve our respect and tender care. All children are gifts from GOD, our Father in Heaven.

rLn's OFF-the-WALL Wearable Art is dedicated to the Naselesele Village Primary School kids, and this blog (ADvertise for GOD: One Message at a Time) displays the art used for OFF the WALL. i thought it would be fun to share with you who some of these kidZ are!

This is Kani, leaving home for his first day in kindergarten, with sister Miri, cousin Jo and brother Leone leading the way.

The whole school was gathered Monday (May 30) for this special assembly -- to reward a prize to the top student from each class (Class 1 - Class 8). Here's master Sairusi lecturing about the week's lesson: sharing and cooperation. Sharing one's self and one's material goods is showing love with one another; and cooperation is helping one another. GREAT teaching! This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. (John 15:12)

From Class 1 is Mizpah Sowani -- top of her class... deserving of her prize!

From Class 2 is Karen Stolz. i'm so proud of this little gal for i remember her as a toddler clinging to her tata... and here she is "grown up" and so smart!

From Class 3 is Seini Caucauqoli... another bright light in Naselesele, shining with a joyful smile.

From Class 4 is Josese Kalaidreketi -- na tagane matai!

From Class 5 is Makarita Ranuve -- this little package can also sing an angelic wallop. She sang Crucified for me, acapella, and she belted the song with much emotion. i was impressed!

From Class 6 is Anabella (Talei) Taki -- very intelligent young lady... beautiful inside and out!

From Class 7 is Eric Petersen -- just glowing with his prize in hand. Keep up the good work, Eric!

And last but not least, from Class 8 is Elia Rakai -- leading the way for Naselesele School. After he graduates from the village school, he'll start secondary school at the bottom rung again in Form 1.

The prize money awarded to these eight kidZ was a type of scholarship to fund their school needs, but also to encourage all of them to do their very best for the next term exam so that they may also win a reward for their hard study and good behavior.

The donation came from a big-hearted brother in CHRIST from Ocean View Church (San Diego, California). GOD used this kind brother to bless the Naselesele Village kidZ. GOD is wonderFUL inDEED! JESUS said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:12)

March 13 - 20, 2011, is Ocean View Church's World Outreach Week (WOW). Tijuana, Mexico, our neighbor just next door, is the focus mission this year. WOW is dedicating proceeds from this Friday's sponsored bike ride to Coronado, Saturday's giant rummage sale (7 am -- 12 noon), as well as personal offerings (material and/or financial) from those whose hearts are made tender for those who live in extreme poverty.

Ocean View Church is coordinating efforts with Mexican missionaries (Juvenal and Maria Gonzales, Manuel Tec, Carlos and Sandra Kateztain, Salvador and Megan Suazo, Hugo and Norma Campos of OVC) in providing material and financial needs for orphanages and church planting in the Tijuana area.

Repentance -- the change of your mind and heart about the true nature of sin. Humbly ask GOD for forgiveness. Put your faith in the Person of JESUS, the CHRIST -- His finished work on the Cross -- as the only hope of finding Heaven.

Believe that CHRIST sacrificed His life out of His love for you... that you may be saved from the coming wrath of GOD -- Judgment Day. Believe that JESUS defeated death -- believe the fact of His resurrection. Believe that resurrection to eternal life in heaven is your eternal fate when you put your faith in Him.

Believe that when you surrendered your rights to your rights to follow JESUS, you have the GODhead -- the Father, the Son, the Spirit -- indwelling you, for the Son is in the Father and the Father in the Son, and the Spirit is of the Son and of the Father. They are equal and one and the same -- and when you are given the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation, you have the three as one indwelling GOD, empowering you to accomplish the purposes of Him who created all. Out of the unfathomable heart of GOD, where grace and mercy flow, His children -- those who believe and declare that JESUS is LORD -- receive unconditional love, the joy of the LORD as their strength, peace that surpasses the world's understanding.

Because GOD is holy and righteous -- He must judge sin. But because He is Love, He gave His only...

He so loved us, wretched clay wallowing in the world's mire -- that He died in our place. JESUS was the sacrificial Lamb who paid for the penalty of our sins.

The Good News is that we don't have to die into hell after we die on earth. JESUS the GOD-Man suffered the shame and brutality of the Cross so that those who repent and turn to Him as the only Way to eternal Life and believe the Truth that He is indeed LORD will be saved from eternal hell.

This is the apron i wear daily at work. Most of my co-workers are Spanish speakers... but for the SPIRIT of GOD, language is no barrier, for He works in the hearts of those He draws to CHRIST. One of Silver Strand State Beach's tunnels is beautifully decorated with the colorful art of Jaime Rayon, Imperial Beach's very own. i discovered the above mural during my GODventureZ bike ride to Coronado, along the Silver Strand bike route.

The detail work on the dolphins and the other creatures displayed Jaime's talent for lifelike renditions.

As i explored the tunnel, following the line of flowing seaweed, i encountered this smiling dolphin head on...

Those who know me well know that i'm not a wasteful person (i've even been monikered a "Filipino Jew"). Even when i'm writing letters, i don't waste any available writing space. From edge to edge, i write...even to the corners! In my devotional journal (Oswald Chambers' My Utmost For His Highest, given to me in 2003 by Kathy G), almost every available inch of white space has writing, for i've written in it from 2003-2010!

PROVERBS 3:5-6 -- another rLn personal Bible life-verse -- an acknowledgment that my own very finite mind is so very faulty... at times to the point of ridiculous idiocy! Many, many times, my two plus two does not equal four!

i used to balk at these words associated with genuine followers of CHRIST -- surrender, submit, obey... let go (all my rights), let GOD (rule all of me).

But when i realized Who GOD is -- holy, all powerful, all knowing, ALLways present, all wise, Self-existent, Self-sufficient, eternal, infinite, immutable, sovereign, free, personal, incomprehensible, inscrutable, good, loving, merciful, faithful, true, kind, compassionate, joyful, just, gracious, righteous, pure light... indescribable Intelligent Designer, amazing Creator of the Universe.

Knowing Who GOD is, the words surrender, submit and obey become positive words. To me, these words mean the same as trust. So trust in Him is the perfect (wholesome) action of the child of GOD. As a child trusts (surrenders, submits, obeys) her earthly father, i, as a child of GOD, also trust my heavenly Father, the Great I AM THAT I AM, to provide for all my needs, now and forever.

Peace with GOD is by His grace only. Because of His great love for humankind, GOD gave His only Son -- JESUS -- as atoning sacrifice to bridge the enmity between sinful mankind and holy GOD. By faith, we receive CHRIST's redeeming work on the cross at Calvary. And the joy of eternal heaven is for whoever receives JESUS as Messiah...LORD of his/her life.

Salvation (freedom) from the condemnation of sin (eternal separation from GOD -- hell) is by the grace of GOD. Redemption is by the grace of GOD only -- not by any amount of good works is a sinner saved. Grace is GOD's undeserved, unmerited favor. It's from GOD's infinite mercy and perfect goodness -- His gracious character -- not at all from any goodness (perceived or real) of the sinner.

It's by faith -- believing in the substitutionary sacrificial death of CHRIST JESUS -- that a sinner is saved.

Joy is the unfathomable peace of mind found in the certainty of being CHRIST's own -- no longer bound for hell.

The One True GOD is the Holy Trinity -- GOD the Father, GOD the Son, GOD the Holy Spirit. The one and only Living GOD is holy, perfectly just in His utter righteousness -- the One True GOD is eternal.

i Love JESUS, The Rock -- Creation PROCESS

The project was to create a tshirt for The ROCK Church, yet in a design that is not The-ROCK-Church specific...a tshirt that i can wear myself, anywhere, anytime -- and not necessarily to show that i am a member of that church.

i don't usually do a preliminary drawing for an rln's OFF-the-WALL Wearable Art, but the design i had in mind was of the Cross of JESUS, which required straight lines and equally spaced lettering.

As i painted, i had Pastor Charles Stanley via the 'net...i listened to his message on Brokenness three or four times -- i am such a slow learner...it takes many lessons for me to get it whether from hearing sermons or lessons in real life!

Because i had to stay within the confines of the design, especially the straight lines, it was painstakingly slow! i listened to many of Zola Levitt lectures as i continued this work...

YaaaYY!!! That part is done...now for the fun stuff...

The fun stuff is when i can just doodle shapes into place...just letting the parts of the puzzle fall into place... and more Zola Levitt lectures (he teaches about CHRIST JESUS from a Jewish perspective -- how enlightening it is to learn more about our Beloved LORD from His own kinsman).

The reaLLY fun stuff is when i do flowers... i'm not into making them too life-like... i can do that "shortcut" with photography...

Flowers...leaves...the process is processing along...an hour at a time...a petal at a time, a leaf at a time.

Then to Blue Letter Bible website to find the verse befitting "the Rock." Many verses contained the two words, but Psalm 18:2 and 46 were best for this project.

The tshirt was finished...so i thought. i put it on a hanger...looked at it with fresh eyes -- reflected from a mirror. Hmmm, it could use something...so the finishing touches...here, there, everywhere!

After much Pastor Stanley and Zola Levitt on the 'net (at least 10 hours of 30- to 45-minute sermons each), another two hours of finishing touches, ironing, photographing...

Voila -- finito...rauta...tapos!

i didn't know where this shirt was going, how it was going to turn out. i had an intention on the basic direction, then went along with it. Along the way, it got beautified.

My life today is like this process of creating a tshirt. i know my life direction -- that of becoming more and more a fully devoted follower of CHRIST JESUS... of getting out of the Holy SPIRIT's way (through daily surrender and obedience to His voice) so that He can form and shape me according to my heavenly Father's purpose of making me more and more CHRISTlike... of being used up for GOD's glory... of being that child of GOD my Father has ALLways intended me to be... of making a difference in someone's life... of pleasing my LORD in this lifetime so that i may hear Him say, "Well done, rln, good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:23)
