Peace with GOD is by His
grace only. Because of His great
love for humankind, GOD gave His only Son -- JESUS -- as atoning sacrifice to bridge the enmity between sinful mankind and holy GOD. By
faith, we receive CHRIST's redeeming work on the cross at Calvary. And the
joy of eternal heaven is for whoever receives JESUS as Messiah...LORD of his/her life.
Though we may be good citizens outwardly, because of our sinful inner nature, we are all at enmity with GOD (
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way. Isaiah 53:6) -- we have no
peace with GOD.
But
GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) The One True GOD is
love manifested in JESUS.
Salvation (freedom) from the condemnation of sin (eternal separation from GOD -- hell) is by the
grace of GOD. Redemption is by the
grace of GOD only -- not by any amount of good works is a sinner saved.
Grace is GOD's undeserved, unmerited favor. It's from GOD's infinite mercy and perfect goodness -- His gracious character -- not at all from any goodness (perceived or real) of the sinner.
It's by
faith -- believing in the substitutionary sacrificial death of CHRIST JESUS -- that a sinner is saved.
Joy is the unfathomable peace of mind found in the certainty of being CHRIST's own -- no longer bound for hell.
The One True GOD is the Holy Trinity -- GOD the
Father, GOD the
Son, GOD the Holy
Spirit. The one and only Living GOD is
holy, perfectly
just in His utter
righteousness -- the One True GOD is
eternal.
